❗Walrus Patient Update: Walrus Diet Part 1❗ Currently, our walrus calf patient is eating 1.5 L of specialized milk formula and electrolytes every four hours. We will never be able to match a walrus mother’s nutritious milk exactly, but the formula emulates it as closely as we can. Once she is weaned off the formula, she will be introduced to foods that Pacific walrus would eat in the wild, like clams!
