PressG Type L copper and press for gas. Yes, it’s legal here in MN because our natural gas is not high in hydrogen sulphide. We have been using type L copper (soft or hard drawn) for decades in gas distribution. Joining methods for copper must be brazed (not soft soldered), flare or mechanical press. For new work all piping is pressure tested on rough-in if going to be covered. Final inspection requires a manometer leak test. @nibcoinc offers the PressG fittings. I buy them from a local supplier
